Lactation
Services

Our lactation-knowledgeable nurses and board-certified lactation consultants (IBCLCs) provide evidence–based support to help you keep your baby full and healthy.

Advantages

  • Our nurses are highly and specially educated in lactation and healthy feeding practices to get you and your family off to the best possible start. We are committed to sharing the best evidence–based information on feeding your baby. Filling baby’s tummy with the nutrition baby needs is the priority.
  • We have been awarded the IBCLC Care Award –  a nationally recognized award for excellence in staffing international board certified lactation consultants (IBCLCs) and for conducting activities that demonstrate promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding.

  • Lactation consults, provided by IBCLCs, are included during your hospital stay.
  • We host a Milk Depot where we receive donated milk from pre-screened mothers. This milk is sent to The Minnesota Milk Bank for Babies to be gently pasteurized. After pasteurization, it is available for babies whose mothers need to supplement their own milk supply or to other families with newborns needing human milk.

Appointments and Donor Milk

  • To make an appointment for a virtual or in-person outpatient lactation consultation, call 763-581-8340. We will return your call as soon as possible.
  • To learn more about purchasing donor milk, call 763-581-8340 and listen to the message for the most current information and availability.
