We are a doula-friendly hospital and endeavor to keep you with your doula if you choose throughout the whole labor and delivery process, barring an emergency.
The March of Dimes and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists agree: Healthy pregnancies should last until at least 39 weeks gestation to give babies all the time they need to grow and develop. We make sure providers have a medical reason to deliver babies before 39 weeks.
We offer support options for deaf, hard of hearing, language assistance and translation services. These services are all free of charge and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for customers at North Memorial Health.
Our highly experienced nurses and staff provide compassionate, evidence–based, open-minded, culturally sensitive care for each mother and baby. The North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale practices a model of one unit, one room, one team.
For complex cases, our nurses can refer you to our certified IBCLC lactation consultants for questions or concerns with lactation and breastfeeding.
Our Level II NICU is equipped to provide intensive care for sick and premature infants—30 weeks and up. Our specially trained, incredibly experienced, interdisciplinary staff includes your family in the daily care plan whenever and wherever possible.
Our care team makes sure mothers have all the information they need to get their family off to a healthy start, including evidence–based feeding and care information. You’ll labor, deliver, recover, and spend your postpartum time in the same room, minimizing shuffle and maximizing rest, recovery, and bonding time.
