I have always had an interest and aptitude in the sciences. I love working with people. Medicine has given me the opportunity to merge both passions. Cardiology is a diverse specialty ranging from prevention to the care of the critically ill. There are few areas in medicine where deliberate, decisive action can have such a large impact on an individual’s course. The ability to make an important contribution in a person’s life is very special.

Mike has been married for 32 years and has two children. He loves spending time enjoying the outdoor beauty of Minnesota. He is a lifelong sports fan. He has been a pilot for most of his adult life and has enjoyed all aspects of recreational flying.
